The Magic Endowment Fund’s Mission is to: 
++ Support a national youth development program
++ Preserve the historical efforts of the magic community
++ Provide financial assistance to magicians for medical treatment
++ Endorse other activities to further promote an enduring interest in the Magical Arts

The Vision of the MEF is to nurture investments in the Art of Magic and provide ever-increasing benefits to the magic community through activities and initiatives, including:
++ Education grants & scholarships
++ Research on the history of magic
++ The Houdini Fund for medical needs
++ The Leslie P. Guest and David Goodsell Literary Award for literature
++ The Magic Hall of Fame & Museum
++ Magic demonstrations and training for special needs children

The Magic Endowment Fund (MEF) was founded in 1986 by the Society of American Magicians as a separate charitable IRS recognized 501(c)3 foundation dedicated to the advancement of the Art of Magic.  Since its inception, the Fund has provided over

$600,000.00

in charitable giving, including Grants for youngsters in need to attend summer magic camp; Hospital/medical benefits for magicians and allied performers in need; College scholarships to qualified magicians; and Magic history preservation & research. 

We comply with IRS requirements regarding charitable donations, no goods or services are provided to donors by the Magic Endowment Fund as specified by the Internal Revenue Service Code.  Additionally,  no private benefit is provided to the Fund trustees, donors, donor advisors, family members or other disqualified persons.
